The Club is a bit unusual: there is
no charge for meetings and no charge for membership. You don’t even have to fill in a form! Coming along to
quarterly meetings means we treat you as a member but the simplest and best way to become a member and to be informed of meetings, events, the latest research is to sign up for the Club’s newsletter which you can do below.
The Club works because members step up to take on essential jobs. Somewhat similar to the way these Orcadian lifeboatmen are doing here as they launch the “Saltaire” – but less life-threatening! More like volunteering at events, booking speakers, keeping accounts, organising refreshments. Stepping up generally happens at the AGM which takes place at the June quarterly meeting (
free to attend) when a new Co-ordinating Group is elected.
The Club operates under the
constitution you’ll find here.
